Learn about New Dietary Guidelines Advisory report

What: Webinar
When: February 15, 2015
Time: 3:30 pm
Where: Online

Join in for a special web event on Wednesday, February 25 to learn directly from key members of the US Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC) about their scientific report released last week that will help inform updates to US dietary guidelines. The results — already widely reported in the media — can leave consumers wondering what exactly the committee is recommending be changed, and more importantly, why? You may have heard in the media that now “eggs are OK to eat” or “high sugar diets are just as bad for you as high saturated fat diets.” By hearing directly from the scientists from around the US involved in putting together this report, this event will help you sort out what to do to eat a healthier diet using the latest scientific information. Presenters include Dr. Barbara Millen, chairperson of the DGAC and additional members of the DGAC, including Frank Hu, professor of nutrition and epidemiology at Harvard Chan School.
