The Mentoring Leadership series supports continued professional and career development between public and community health professionals with the goal of fostering a sense of leadership amongst new and mid-level professionals.

Carol is the Director, Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention and the Chief Nursing Officer with Toronto Public Health. She is the past President of the Ontario Public Health Association and has had extensive involvement in professional associations and advisory boards. In 2010, Carol received the Association of Local Public Health Agencies of Ontario (alPHA) Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to public health in Ontario.

Carol will discuss will discuss her career journey, lessons learned, advice about professional and career development and thoughts and insights on what it takes to be a public health leader.
