
Providing Trans Primary Care
Rainbow Health Ontario in partnership with Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, AIDS Committee Simcoe County, Simcoe County LGBT Network, and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit are offering this training to increase the capacity of Barrie, Orillia and surrounding area’s primary health care to provide high-quality care to trans communities.
The session will be lead by:
Dr Blair Voyvodic, family physician and trans health expert
Sue Hranilovic, NP and trans health expert
Matt Caron Francino, MEd, Trans Health Connection Coordinator
This program has been accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 5 Mainpro-M1 credits.
Only open to MD, NP, RN and students in programs towards those qualifications
Topics covered:
- Providing holistic community-based primary care to trans clients
- Assessment, monitoring, and follow-up for hormone therapy
- Familiarizing yourself with other available community referrals
- Building a locally-relevant, integrated health system for trans clients
$50 for professionals $30 for students per day (+ Eventbrite’s processing fee)
