Quality Indicators Framework for Chronic Disease Prevention
The Ontario Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance (OCDPA) has developed an innovative indicator framework to track chronic disease risk factors – unhealthy eating, physical inactivity, high-risk alcohol consumption, tobacco use and mental illness – across Ontario. This webinar will describe the indicator framework project with a focus on how the physical inactivity indicators can be used across work settings and practice areas.
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe how the OCDPA quality indicator framework encourages the viewing of risk factors in parallel across chronic disease and supports collaboration among relevant partners, with an emphasis on physical inactivity.
- Identify opportunities of how they might use the quality indicator framework and physical inactivity indicators within their work setting and/or area of practice to increase the impact of chronic disease prevention in Ontario.
- Provide input on how they anticipate using the indicators framework, including what factors may enable or limit their uptake of the framework.
